About Gracenote:

Gracenote is a leading provider of entertainment information, specializing in creating
comprehensive databases of TV, movie, and music metadata for entertainment guides,
applications, and in-car entertainment systems. We are the foremost supplier of TV and
movie entertainment data.

Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager, Editorial will lead the Editorial team, providing daily guidance and
supervision. This role involves managing, motivating, and supporting team members to
ensure efficient operations and collaboration.
As a team leader, you’ll serve as the main point of contact for editorial team members,
requiring excellent communication skills and proactive problem-solving abilities. Leading
by example, you’ll engage the team to achieve business goals effectively.

Responsibilities:

➢ Oversee workflow organization and personnel schedules to optimize efficiency,
cost-effectiveness, and accuracy.
➢ Manage team performance through regular one-on-one meetings, quarterly checkins, and annual reviews. Provide rewards, coaching, and counselling as needed.
➢ Maintain workload requirements, communicating changes to deadlines to the
manager and staff.
➢ Ensure quality and coverage standards within the content database.
➢ Resolve editorial discrepancies reported by clients and implement ideas to enhance
quality and productivity.
➢ Collaborate with the content team to develop resources, establish processes, and
define research best practices.
➢ Identify and implement new tools to support expanding editorial expectations.
➢ Coordinate training for new staff members and maintain an up-to-date knowledge
database for content operations.
➢ Serve as an escalation point for editorial issues outside regular hours.

Qualifications:

➢ Proficiency in English (reading, understanding, writing).
➢ 3+ years of team management experience.
➢ Experience working with global stakeholders and clients.
➢ Willingness to work in a 24/7 operation, including evening, night, and weekend
shifts.
➢ Proven track record of delivering quality results on time.
➢ Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in
writing.
➢ Ability to maintain composure and respond appropriately in stressful situations.
➢ Skill in building consensus and evaluating process performance for improvements.
➢ Hybrid role requiring proximity to Nielsen’s office.
