About the job:
We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at the
Connersville facility. If you have over 5 years of experience in manufacturing methods and
processes, with hands-on skills in design, particularly fixturing, and proficiency in
SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor, we want to hear from you. Mastery of Geometric
Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and fluency in lean manufacturing concepts are
essential for this role.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will evaluate manufacturability, review and implement
procedures, processes, and equipment involved in manufacturing. You will explore
cutting-edge automation techniques, assess new systems, and strategize factory layouts
for maximum production efficiency. Your focus will be on lean enhancements to meet
production demands while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate quality control processes and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze production processes and data to create comprehensive reports for
    management.
  • Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve
    efficiency.
  • Participate in design reviews and lead problem-solving teams.
  • Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods and coordinating
    maintenance and repair services.
  • Lead the tryout and evaluation of new machinery, tooling, and equipment.
  • Develop process documentation, including SOPs, process routings, PFMEAs, process flow
    diagrams, and error-proofing plans.
  • Develop cost estimates for new and major programs.
  • Standardize processes and parameters, and implement new ideas to improve safety,
    quality, cost, and productivity.
  • Initiate cost-saving projects through efficient engineering practices and implement costreduction opportunities.
    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a combination of education and experience,
    with 5+ years in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Design experience with a focus on fixturing using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
  • Strong safety, quality, and teamwork orientation with a track record of dependability.
  • Fluency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Fluency in lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Experience with lean principles such as lean line design and Kanban pull systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with machining and assembly.
    Travel & Work Arrangements:
  • Fully site-based
  • US Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident
  • Minimal travel up to 5%
    Key Competencies:
  • Proven design experience utilizing SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management knowledge and lean manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with machining (turning, milling, grinding) and knowledge in machine tool
    specifications, construction, and maintenance.
  • Skilled in statistically qualifying machinery, equipment, and gauges.
