About the Job:
Join us as a Die Cast Manufacturing Engineer and play a pivotal role in our vibrant light
manufacturing, machining, and assembly environment in Sheboygan. Collaborate closely
with our engineering and production teams to provide engineering services, valuable
insights, and leadership in industrial engineering activities critical to our operations.
As a Die Cast Manufacturing Engineer, you will interact closely with various functional roles
and departments including project engineering, production, tool engineering, and sales.
Your responsibilities will include implementing quality system requirements,
recommending product and process improvements, and leading corrective actions to
continuously enhance our operations in alignment with our quality strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
Process Development and Improvement:

  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product reliability, reduce
    costs, and improve competitiveness.
  • Prepare capital justifications and coordinate the implementation of new product
    changes.
    Documentation:
  • Initiate and maintain documentation supporting process and manufacturing
    improvements.
  • Prepare reports and blueprints to support operational enhancements.
    Programming and Equipment:
  • Program casting and related equipment, and develop detailed equipment specifications.
  • Assist in installing and bringing new equipment up to production and quality standards.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and investigation within equipment to drive improvement
    activities.
    Cost Containment:
  • Provide product cost information and support new product estimates for capital
    expenditure justifications.
  • Review prototype designs and recommend changes to meet cost targets.
    Quality:
  • Develop and maintain departmental procedures to support and maintain ISO
    certification.
    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in a production
    environment.
  • Proficiency in computer software essential for engineering tasks.
    Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
  • Position is site-based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
  • US Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident required.
  • Expect 50% time in an office environment and 50% on the production floor.
  • Personal safety protection equipment required during duties.
    Key Competencies:
  • Experience with tool design and development.
  • Knowledge and experience with high-pressure Die Cast processes.
  • Familiarity with programmed automation robotics.
  • Certification as a Manufacturing Engineer preferred.
