About the Job:

Harness your expertise in Python programming, MATLAB, and testing methodologies to
spearhead innovation in our lab environment. Collaborate closely with development and
product teams to ensure top-notch software quality and contribute to transforming our
industry.
Job Responsibilities:
Test Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with the development team to define comprehensive test strategies.
  • Ensure alignment with project requirements and objectives throughout the software
    development lifecycle.
    Quality Assurance Planning:
  • Create and maintain quality assurance plans outlining objectives and success criteria.
  • Establish a roadmap for quality assurance activities and monitor key metrics.
    Test Methodology:
  • Champion best practices in quality assurance methodologies.
  • Design effective test environments and guidelines for QA processes.
    Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster strong collaboration with development and product teams to ensure QA strategy
    alignment.
  • Communicate QA objectives and strategies effectively to achieve metrics.
    Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Identify software quality risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve issues related to quality assurance to maintain project timelines.
    Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive continuous improvement in QA processes based on industry trends and emerging
    practices.
  • Stay updated on software quality standards and methodologies.
    Controls Lab Development and Management:
  • Lead the development and management of the Controls Lab.
  • Introduce and maintain processes related to Standard Work, DVP&R, and safety reviews.
    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Python programming skills with 5+ years of testing experience.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink, familiarity with DFMEA.
  • Experience with cellular communication technologies and electrical components.
    Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
  • Site-based role in Quincy, Illinois, with potential for occasional hybrid schedule.
  • Ability to travel 10-15% domestically to company facilities.
  • US Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident required.
    Key Competencies:
  • Testing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Python programming and MATLAB expertise.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and automation testing.
  • Proficiency in lab instrumentation use and IoT/IIoT connectivity.
  • Experience with control systems for compressed air equipment preferred.
