Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities for improved performance in SQL operations and
  implementations.
• Oversee the operations of the production and staging environments
  databases.
• Design, implement, and monitor disaster recovery plans as it pertains to
  the production database environment.
• Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data
  and database issues.
• Give design recommendations for database functions that meet business
  operating standards while improving the efficiency of business processes.
• Train and mentor junior personnel on best practices.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
  Requirements:
• Good knowledge of MYSQL architecture.
• Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
• Understanding MYSQL Backup & Recovery along with Open source Tools.
• Best practices on managing database access and user control.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
• Must have good knowledge of MYSQL database up-gradation.
• Knowledge on MYSQL replication Master-Master, Single master multi-slave
  and troubleshooting.
• Create automation for repeating database tasks. Be available for on-call support
  as needed.
• Should have knowledge of Master slave replication.
• Replication, DR Drill (Switch over, Switch back).
• DB Upgradation.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/ Mongo.
• Good knowledge of Scripting (Shell, python etc).
• Provide Training to the juniors.
• Should have knowledge of AWS RDS.
• Check with them about the versions they have worked on (MySQL 5.7 & 8 version
  must to have).
