About the Role:
As the Director of Revenue Management – India & SWA, you will report to the Regional
Vice President – Commercial, India & SWA. You will be responsible for driving the
continued development and growth of revenue and profits for the portfolio hotels,
managing an efficient revenue organization, and implementing best practices across the
region. Your role includes overseeing recruitment, training, and strategic oversight of
revenue recognition policies. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and operations
teams, and lead the setup of cluster organizations across India & SWA.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational:
- Assist hotel management of new hotels in India & SWA and coordinate with the Global
Contact Center for optimal revenue performance. - Provide guidance to hotels to maximize occupancy and revenue generation through
pricing strategies and inventory management. - Coordinate annual forecasting processes with the Hotel Finance Director.
- Determine, implement, and monitor measurable growth strategies through distribution channels.
- Ensure compliance with Hyatt’s revenue management best practices and business strategies.
- Provide ongoing analysis and feedback on the effectiveness of revenue management strategies and market trends.
- Maintain and support communication processes to disseminate Revenue Management principles across India & SWA.
- Collaborate with third-party distribution channels and Hyatt distribution teams to optimize hotel availability.
- Work with various distribution groups to ensure hotels are strategically promoted.
- Ensure that “Total Revenue Management” is practiced in all hotels and enhance business practices accordingly.
Financial:
- Collaborate with the Regional Vice President Revenue Strategy for ASPAC – SWA on the
annual budget and cost control. - Monitor RevPar competitiveness and guide hotels to maximize RevPar growth.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of promotions and tactics aimed at increasing RevPar.
- Implement integrated solutions to focus on revenue engineering and cost control.
- Provide Regional Senior Management with key performance indicators and market insights.
Technology:
- Maintain and update business processes related to new analytical and revenue
management technology. - Provide feedback on vendor relationships with revenue management software providers.
- Liaise with the E-Commerce team to enhance Hyatt.com productivity and usability.
Strategic:
- Advise hotels on process re-engineering and revenue maximization based on business process reviews.
- Establish an annual strategic business plan development process for marketing strategies.
- Conduct context-specific training on Revenue Management techniques for revenuegenerating departments.
- Coordinate with the Regional Vice President of Revenue Strategy for effective marketing,
pricing, and distribution strategies. - Communicate regional needs to support new technology, policies, and procedures.
- Implement strategic revenue clustering where appropriate and articulate its benefits.
Marketing:
- Provide strategic direction and ensure compliance with the pricing philosophy across hotels.
- Coordinate the pricing and distribution of regional marketing programs.
- Guide divisions and hotels on managing inventories and local promotions.
- Work with Digital Marketing, Loyalty, Analytics, and other departments to maximize RevPar.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in Business Management, Strategic Marketing, or Hospitality/Tourism
management is required; an MBA is an asset. - Minimum 10-15 years of work experience in various revenue management roles, including
as Revenue Manager or Cluster Revenue Manager; experience overseeing 50+ hotels is preferred. - At least 3 years in a similar corporate/regional role.
- Experience managing pre-opening hotels & resorts is required.
- Strong system experience with platforms such as Delphi, Opera PMS, IDeaS, CRS, and GDS.
- Proven experience in electronic distribution/channel management and developing corporate reporting.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with General Managers, owners, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Extensive travel across India & SWA will be required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
- Thorough understanding of hotel revenue KPIs.
