About the Role:
As the Manager, Group Sales, you will lead the Groups & Events team and oversee the
reactive sales and event management for Conference and Incentive programs, as well as
domestic and international weddings, conferencing, banqueting, and private events. Your
role involves the complete sales cycle—from quotation and contracting to coordination,
planning, and final billing settlement. You will play a key role in developing strategic
relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring that every event is executed to
perfection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Marketing: Oversee revenue generation for group sales and events, ensuring the
achievement of revenue and room night targets. - Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the annual sales and marketing strategy for
your segment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support departmental and
revenue goals. - Client Engagement: Proactively pursue leads, negotiate contracts, and convert business
opportunities by delivering tailored proposals and maintaining strong relationships with
clients. - Operational Coordination: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial inquiry to final billing,
ensuring all requirements are communicated to relevant departments via Group Resumes
and Function Sheets. - Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitors to adjust strategies and identify
new business opportunities. - Team Management: Motivate, train, and manage your team to perform at high levels, and
conduct regular team meetings to keep everyone focused and driven.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in a 4 or 5-star luxury hotel environment.
- Diploma or Qualification in Hospitality Management is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential.
- Demonstrated experience in sales, with a solid understanding of Revenue Management
principles. - Proven ability to lead and manage a team while meeting high-level targets.
- Familiarity with the hospitality industry’s best practices and a passion for delivering
exceptional guest experiences.
