About the Role:

At Hero MotoCorp Ltd., we are looking for a dedicated power electronics expert to lead
the design and development of HV inverter systems for our next-generation electric vehicles.
In this purpose-driven role, you will be responsible for the complete product lifecycle,
from concept and specification development to power electronic stage design and validation.
Your expertise in inverter designs for motor controllers, coupled with your strong
knowledge of automotive inverter topologies, functional safety, and motor control
strategies, will be crucial in driving innovation and ensuring robust product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Design:
o Lead the development of HV inverter power electronics based on vehicle
specifications.
o Design and optimize inverter power electronics, ensuring compatibility
with motor control systems (e.g., PMSM, SRM, SynRel).
Digitalization & Simulation:
o Digitalize designs for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and
Digital Twin simulation and validation.
Validation & Testing:
o Support the planning and execution of Design Verification Plans (DVP) for
inverter designs and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on failures.
o Perform environmental, thermal, and endurance testing for electronic
components.
Resource Reuse & Efficiency:
o Leverage existing design resources to reduce total development time and
investments.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including battery system, motor
control, and testing engineers, to optimize designs and resolve issues.
Compliance & Documentation:
o Ensure designs comply with EMI/EMC, ESD, ISO 26262, and other relevant
regulations.
o Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and analysis for
ongoing process improvements.

Technical Skills / Knowledge:

Power Electronics Expertise:
o Strong background in power electronics application design, analysis, and
simulation using MOSFET and IGBT technologies.
o In-depth knowledge of inverter topologies for motor control, including
design and functional evaluation.
Tools & Software:
o Proficiency in simulation tools such as LTspice, MATLAB, Simulink, and
Simscape.
o Experience in PCB layout and schematic design using Altium or similar
software.
Standards & Regulations:
o Familiarity with automotive standards, including ISO 26262, EMI/EMC,
ESD, and relevant IEC/EN/AIS/UL regulations.
Process Improvement:
o Ability to define and execute DOE’s in collaboration with the production
team.
o Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, DFA, and quality planning.
Additional Competencies:
o Knowledge of PLM systems is an added advantage.
