About the Role:
We’re hiring scriptwriters/researchers for 2 new faceless YouTube channels—each with
its own distinct voice and audience. You’ll be provided with a concept and framework;
your job is to research, craft an engaging script, and collect visual references (such as
clips, images, charts, etc.) that the editor can use. This opportunity could develop into a
long-term or monthly retainer contract, as we require new videos on a weekly basis.

IMPORTANT:
We are hiring separately for each channel — not one writer for both.
Please specify which ONE channel you’re applying for in your application.

Channel 1: Zillienial Nostalgia
For late-’90s/early-2000s kids. Think Bionicle, Tamagotchi, LimeWire energy. Ideal fit: You
lived it, not just studied it, and can turn your experiences into witty, heartfelt storytelling.

Channel 2: Guns in Movies (But Funny)
Breaking down movie firearms with humor, accuracy, and film-nerd energy. Ideal fit: A
movie buff and firearm hobbyist who loves highlighting entertainingly absurd details.

Key Responsibilities:

→ Scriptwriting:
o Write a fully-researched script for each assigned topic (approx. 20 minutes
long).
→ Content Alignment:
o Match the voice, tone, and pacing unique to the channel you’re applying
for.
→ Research & Reference:
o Source links and visual references (clips, images, charts, etc.) for the
editor.
→ Collaboration:
o Work collaboratively with producers to bring each story to life.
Requirements:

  • Proven writing ability in video content, journalism, essays, or comedy.
  • Ability to translate complex information into accessible, entertaining
    scripts.
  • Deep familiarity with YouTube content, pacing, and audience expectations.
  • Strong research skills and impeccable attention to accuracy.
  • Comfort working remotely and consistently meeting deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Proven writing ability in video content, journalism, essays, or comedy.
  • Ability to translate complex information into accessible, entertaining
    scripts.
