As a Tech Lead β .NET Developer at CACTUS, you’ll drive the design, development, and evolution of modern digital platforms β shaping architecture decisions, leading globally distributed engineering teams, and translating business objectives into high-impact scalable solutions.With .NET + Azure + microservices expertise, engineers in this role command a 20β40% salary premium over standard .NET role β and at CACTUS, you’ll get to build cloud-native systems that power research tools used by scientists worldwide! βοΈπ
ποΈ Key Responsibilities:
- ποΈ Own and lead the design, development, and delivery of key subsystems within the digital platform ecosystem β driving architecture evolution toward microservices and event-driven systems
- π₯ Provide technical and people leadership across globally distributed engineering teams β mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative, high-performing Agile team culture
- π Design and build secure, high-performance web applications and RESTful APIs using .NET technologies while driving cloud-native development practices across AWS/Azure environments
- βοΈ Establish engineering best practices β including code quality standards, automated testing, and CI/CD implementation β while translating business objectives into scalable, executable delivery plans
β Requirements:
π Must-Haves:
- π Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- π» 8+ years of experience building full-stack applications using C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET, and REST APIs
- π₯ Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams and delivering large-scale distributed systems
- π¬ Strong stakeholder communication skills with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
π οΈ Technical Skills:
- βοΈ Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and modern DevOps practices
- π Hands-on experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and CI/CD pipelines
- βοΈ Proficiency with frontend technologies β Angular or React along with JavaScript / TypeScript
- ποΈ Experience with SQL Server or other RDBMS and exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB
- π Comfortable working in EST time zones collaborating with global teams
