💡About the Role:
smallcase is hiring a Quality Assurance Intern for a remote opportunity across India.This is a paid internship for candidates interested in backend testing, API automation, software quality, and fintech product development.You will work on test plans, API test cases, automated scripts, defect reporting, and test documentation. The role gives practical exposure to REST Assured with Java, Postman, Swagger, backend services, and modern testing workflows.
This is not just about finding bugs.
It is about protecting the customer experience before a product reaches the customer.
📌Key Responsibilities:
📌 Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for backend services 🧪
📌 Perform API automation testing using REST Assured with Java ⚙️
📌 Create, maintain, and execute Postman scripts for API validation 📬
📌 Use Swagger documentation to understand APIs and build effective test scenarios 🔗
📌 Validate API functionality, reliability, and performance 📊
📌 Identify, document, and help resolve software defects 🛠️
📌 Collaborate closely with developers and product teams 🤝
📌 Participate in code reviews and provide quality-focused feedback 💡
📌 Improve test automation frameworks and QA processes 🔄
📌 Analyze test results and communicate issues clearly to stakeholders 📈
📌 Maintain accurate test cases, defect reports, QA documentation, and test results 📝
🎯Requirements:
🎯 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Related Field 🎓
🎯 0–6 Years of Experience in Quality Assurance or Backend Testing 👨💻
🎯 Strong knowledge of REST Assured with Java ⚙️
🎯 Experience writing and executing API automation test scripts 🧪
🎯 Hands-on experience with Postman API testing and scripting 📬
🎯 Familiarity with Swagger API documentation 🔗
🎯 Understanding of automated testing frameworks and QA tools 💻
🎯 Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills 🔍
