Udaya Public School is looking for two Swimming Teachers — one male and one female — to train students across different skill levels while creating a safe, structured and encouraging swimming environment.

💡About the Role:
As a Swimming Teacher, you will coach students ranging from beginners to advanced swimmers.

You will teach swimming techniques, supervise pool sessions, maintain strong water-safety standards and help students prepare for inter-school and other sporting competitions.

The role combines swimming instruction, student safety, physical education and sports coaching, making responsibility and communication especially important when working with children.

📌Key Responsibilities:

  • 🏊 Teach swimming to students across different age groups and skill levels.
  • 🏊‍♂️ Coach proper technique in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.
  • 🛟 Maintain student safety and closely supervise every swimming session.
  • 🧼 Enforce water-safety rules, hygiene standards and pool discipline.
  • 📅 Prepare swimming schedules and structured lesson plans.
  • 🏅 Train interested students for inter-school and other sports competitions.
  • 📊 Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
  • 🔧 Assist the school administration with pool and equipment upkeep.
  • 🎉 Support school sports days, annual events and related activities.
  • 🚑 Apply appropriate First Aid, CPR and lifesaving practices when required.

🎯Requirements:

  • 🎓 Graduate degree; B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed. or a relevant Physical Education qualification is preferred.
  • 🏊 Valid swimming coaching certification such as NIS certification or certification from a recognised institute.
  • 👨‍🏫 Minimum 1–2 years of experience teaching swimming to children in a school or academy.
  • 🛟 Knowledge of lifesaving skills, First Aid and CPR.
  • 🏊‍♀️ Strong command of major swimming strokes.
  • 🗣️ Good communication skills and patience when working with children.
  • 🤝 Strong character, responsibility and professional conduct.
  • 🌟 Freshers with valid swimming coaching certification may also apply.
  • 👨 Male candidates for the male position and 👩 female candidates for the female position.
