Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:

  1. Design, develop, and implement wiring harness in a particular platform vehicle
    meeting all regulatory standards/requirements within project timelines.
  2. Hands-on experience with Capital Tools (Logic, Harness XC, Library, Symbol &
    Simulation) and detailed knowledge of CHS software for creating build-to-print
    drawings.
  3. Detailed child part knowledge on all wiring harness components, such as grommets,
    connectors, clips, wires, insulations, etc.
  4. Initiate, design, and develop concepts to meet cost objectives, schedule, and design
    parameters for system and component levels for wiring harness.
  5. Evaluate existing and new designs for compliance with internal and external standards
    and review designs for various design specifications.
  6. Create electrical symbols in the symbol library and update the component library for
    connectors, inline connectors, terminal, relay, and fuse base.
  7. Release all technical specifications to suppliers for components/systems.
  8. Validate components by creating proper test cases at both component and vehicle
    levels to provide issue-free products to customers.
  9. Demonstrate a high degree of ownership of projects and problem-solving ability,
    especially in the field of expertise.
  10. Fluent in the use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word,
    PowerPoint, etc.
  11. Create internal documentation for Capital tool usages following M&M procedures and
    contribute to the documentation of Power Distribution Validation Strategy, Grounding
    Strategy, etc., for the entire M&M ecosystem.
  12. Conduct internal meetings with proper agendas and prepare presentations for top
    management reviews regarding Electrical Distribution System Progress.

Experience:

1 to 3 years.

Industry Preferred:

Any other OEM, wiring harness manufacturers, design consultant.

Qualifications:

  • BE/B Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • BE/B Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

General Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering within the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with MPDS, DFMEA, problem-solving tools, and project management tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
