About the Role:
As Litigation Counsel at MakeMyTrip, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of
the company’s litigation portfolio and ensuring that disputes are resolved in a manner
consistent with our strategic and financial objectives. You will draft and negotiate
pleadings, advise on risk and compliance, and support cross‑functional stakeholders in
mitigating legal exposure.

Key Responsibilities:
→ Litigation Management:
o Lead and coordinate internal and external litigation activities, including
case strategy, discovery, motions, and settlement negotiations.
→ Drafting & Reviewing:
o Prepare and review legal documents such as complaints, answers,
motions, and briefs in civil and commercial disputes.
→ Risk Assessment:
o Analyze claims, advise business units on potential liabilities, and
recommend risk‑mitigating actions.
→ Compliance & Advisory:
o Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations; provide proactive
guidance on legal compliance and controls.
→ Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work closely with business, finance, and operations teams to ensure
litigation strategy aligns with organizational goals.

Requirements:
→ Qualifications:
o LL.B. degree from a recognized institution; enrolment as an Advocate.
→ Experience:
o 3–5 years’ post‑qualification experience in litigation, preferably with
exposure to commercial and consumer disputes.
→ Skills & Competencies:
o Strong drafting and advocacy skills.
o Excellent analytical and negotiation abilities.
o Ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines.
o High degree of integrity and professional judgment.
o Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
