About the Team:

The Stripe Product Accounting Team supports all products at Stripe by consulting on
accounting implications and enabling teams to make informed strategic decisions.
Responsible for the accurate and timely recording of all business transactions, the team
works in a fast-paced environment and collaborates with cross-functional and
international teams to support Stripe’s growth.

What You’ll Do:

Process Development & Improvement:
→ Build scalable accounting processes to support global growth in payment
processing accounting.
→ Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial records, including journal
entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses.
Collaboration & Consultation:
→ Partner with product, go-to-market, and finance teams to thoroughly understand
new products, features, and contracts, and assess their accounting implications.
→ Work with internal systems and engineering teams to support financial systems and
automate accounting processes.
Reporting & Analysis:
→ Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including financial
reporting deliverables and analytical reviews.
→ Produce internal management analyses and reports to provide actionable insights
for strategic decision-making.
Compliance & Audit Support:
→ Support external audit processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP (especially
ASC 606, ASC 326, and ASC 450) and regulatory requirements.
→ Assess and enhance internal controls and design new processes to meet emerging
business needs.
Who You Are:
Professional Qualifications:
→ You hold a professional accountancy qualification (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
and have a strong foundation in accounting principles.
→ You possess a degree in Accounting or Finance, backed by 3-6 years of relevant
accounting experience.
Technical Skills:
→ You have proven experience in month-end reporting, journal preparation, and audit
support.
→ You are proficient in US GAAP, with specific expertise in ASC 606, ASC 326, and ASC
