About the Role:
📊 As an Analyst – IB Finance, you will handle month-end accounting and reporting for Investment Banking Loans & Advances, Deposits & Nostro, and Impairment.
You will raise accounting entries, perform reconciliations and break analysis, support internal/external balance sheet disclosures, maintain internal controls and account ownership, and prepare management information reports with full backup for audits.


Key Responsibilities:

  • 🧾 Prepare and post month-end journals (accruals, provisions, reserves, recharges, reclasses) and reconcile key GL accounts to avoid unusual balances.
  • 📈 Manage preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and records in line with IFRS and internal standards, supporting risk identification, mitigation, and internal control frameworks.
  • 🧮 Perform balance sheet reconciliations, aging analysis, and follow-ups to close open items; maintain and review control documents to ensure zero compliance gaps.
  • 🤝 Partner with finance, risk, and other functions to support regulatory/statutory reporting, external audits, and integration of financial systems in collaboration with IT.

Requirements:

  • 🎓 Qualified Chartered Accountant with strong academic record and 0–3 years experience (month/quarter-end reporting exposure preferred).
  • 📚 Solid understanding of IFRS, core accounting principles, and strong controls mindset.
  • 💬 Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to take ownership and resolve complex queries.
  • 🧠 Detail-oriented, assertive, self-starter with risk and control focus and minimal supervision needs.
