About the Role:

At Hero MotoCorp, we are looking for an innovative and dedicated professional to lead
the design, development, and modification of Android-based Instrument Clusters and
Infotainment systems.
In this role, you will define system architecture, collaborate on hardware, firmware, and
software application design, and ensure seamless integration with vehicle
functionalities.
Your deep technical knowledge and collaborative approach will be key to achieving
vehicle project targets while ensuring compliance with automotive quality and safety
standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:
o Lead the design, development, and modification of Android-based
Instrument Clusters and infotainment systems.
o Define system architecture for hardware components and guide the design
and development of Android product components in collaboration with
cross-functional teams.
Technical Evaluation:
o Study and review hardware schematics and simulation results; perform
DFMEA and recommend design improvements to meet Quality, Cost, and
Time (QCT) targets.
o Participate in design meetings and provide technical input on analytics and
software algorithm development for various device-level use cases.
Collaboration:
o Continuously interact with HW architects, firmware, integration, and
testing teams to ensure design targets are met.
o Document user needs (user stories) and ensure seamless integration with
overall vehicle functionality.
Process Management:
o Oversee hardware and software development processes, monitor
progress, and implement corrective measures as needed.
o Manage design records and maintain a roadmap through benchmarking
and technology development initiatives.

Technical Skills / Knowledge:

Hardware Design:
o Proficient in hardware design using tools such as Spice and Orcad.
o In-depth knowledge of designing and developing Android Automotive
platform products.
System & Software Integration:
o Ability to finalize specifications based on system requirements and define
test methodologies.
o Strong understanding of schematic design impacts on EMC issues.
Platform Expertise:
o Experience with Android Automotive platforms and certification processes
(Android Auto, Apple CarPlay) is desirable.
o Knowledge in handling connection management, database handling, and
performance testing (both black-box and white-box at system and unit
levels).
Standards & Protocols:
o Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, CAN, and LIN.
o Understanding of automotive standards & functional safety (e.g., ISO
26262, EMI/ESD requirements).
Additional Desirable Skills:
o Basic knowledge of telematics protocols, cloud-based server
architectures, and app development on Android/iOS.
o Experience in defining and documenting user needs and integrating them
into vehicle functionalities.
