About the Role:
As a Back-end Developer Intern, you will work within the Product Engineering support team, supporting the service structure and serviceability of IBM’s mainframe product set.
This role offers hands-on experience with complex mainframe technologies and customer expectations.
You will contribute to the design and execution of software productivity aids, while gaining exposure to technical and operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
📌 Assist in the development and testing of mainframe productivity tools
📌 Apply programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Java, Assembly, Python, JavaScript, Perl, Bash
📌 Collaborate with the z Hardware and z/OS support teams
📌 Gain practical knowledge of mainframe computing and support structures
📌 Participate in team discussions, agile ceremonies, and code reviews
Requirements:
🎯 Passion for a career in computer engineering or computer science
🎯 Basic knowledge in software design and computer architecture
🎯 Familiarity with multiple programming languages and scripting tools
🎯 Knowledge of mainframe systems and networking preferred
