As a Backend Engineer (Java) at MakeMyTrip, you will design, develop, and maintain
high‑performance, scalable services powering India’s leading travel platform. You’ll
collaborate closely with product managers, frontend teams, and QA to deliver end‑to‑end
solutions that enhance the user experience for millions of travellers.

Key Responsibilities:

Full Lifecycle Development: Contribute across design, architecture, coding,
testing, and deployment within an Agile environment.
Scalable Systems: Build and optimize microservices and APIs using Java/J2EE
and Spring framework to handle high traffic volumes.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with frontend, DevOps, and product
teams to deliver new features and ensure smooth operations.
Performance & Reliability: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks,
implement caching and concurrency optimizations.
Best Practices: Enforce coding standards, perform code reviews, and drive
continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

→ 3–6 years of professional experience in backend development with Java, Spring
Boot, and related technologies.
→ Strong understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and system design.
→ Hands‑on experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB,
Cassandra) databases.
→ Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms
(AWS/GCP).
→ Proficiency in RESTful API design, serialization formats (JSON/XML), and
authentication mechanisms.
→ Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
