About the Role:

At Hero MotoCorp Ltd., we are seeking a skilled electro/mechanical engineer to join our
team as a Battery Process Engineer. In this purpose-driven role, you will be responsible
for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes for lithium-ion battery
production. You will focus on process design, development, continuous improvement,
quality, and cost-effectiveness in our battery manufacturing operations. This position is
critical in ensuring that our battery production meets stringent quality and performance
standards.

Key Responsibilities:

→ Process Development & Optimization: –
Oversee the development and optimization of battery processes in the
production of lithium-ion batteries.
→ Production Support: –
Provide production support and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous
and efficient operations.
→ Quality Control & Compliance: –
Ensure robust quality control measures and compliance with relevant
standards and safety protocols.
→ Documentation & Reporting: –
Prepare detailed documentation, including test and trial reports, and
maintain records for continuous process improvement.
→ Collaboration: –
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production,
engineering, and quality assurance, to implement improvements and
resolve issues.
→ Experimentation & Analysis: –
Define and conduct DOE (Design of Experiments) and other trials to
optimize welding processes, adhesive dispensing, and other production
techniques.

Requirements:

→ Educational Qualifications:
o A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
→ Experience:
o 3 to 5 years of experience in battery process engineering and production,
preferably within the lithium-ion battery manufacturing domain.
→ Technical Skills:
o Proven experience in battery process engineering including welding
processes, adhesive dispensing, and manufacturing equipment handling.
o Expertise in establishing and optimizing production processes for Li-Ion
batteries.
o Ability to define and execute DOE studies and troubleshoot technical
issues.
o Familiarity with quality control procedures, failure analysis, and
preparation of trial reports.

o Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete high-quality work with
minimal supervision.
o Adaptability, self-motivation, and a keen focus on continuous
improvement.
