About the Job:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for working on projects identified as part of
transformation and improvements in actuarial processes. You will work closely with
team leaders in Actuarial teams to drive closure to the projects, demonstrating good
client management skills and analytical proficiency. Possessing knowledge of
Actuarial Modelling Software is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actuarial process transformation from Data requirements, Actuarial Modelling and
    testing, deploying models to Valuation production environment.
  • Provide technical support to the team in performing all tasks/projects, serving as the
    subject matter expert (SME).
  • Produce and review documents ensuring adherence to client-provided guidance.
  • Support business initiatives and projects, participating as needed to provide process
    improvement opportunities.
  • Coach and mentor offshore Team Leads/SMEs, driving consistency in expected behaviours.
  • Perform tasks/projects/analysis assigned, coordinating with Genpact onshore team
    and Client process owner for updates and changes.
  • Ensure all processes have up-to-date documentation and coordinate with Genpact
    leadership for necessary support.
  • Proactively seek ways to improve efficiency, aligning with Genpact Offshore team and
    Client process owners for execution.
  • Establish governance practices and ensure adherence, escalating issues and creating
    necessary action plans.
  • Establish a process documentation structure, create necessary documentation, and
    seek updates and sign-offs.
  • Create Upskilling plans, providing SME support and developing staff personal development plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related major.
  • Partially qualified Actuarial student (9+ Actuarial exams cleared) with relevant years’
    experience in life/annuity insurance or financial services industry.
  • Working knowledge of actuarial tools and techniques, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

  • US ASA equivalent with relevant years of experience in Life & Annuity insurance industry.
  • Strong actuarial work experience and understanding of US life products & Knowledge
    of US regulations – GAAP, STAT, and Tax reporting concepts.
  • Specific knowledge of actuarial modeling tools (PolySystems, AXIS, or MGAlfa),
    Excel, VBA, SQL, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Relevant years of people management experience.
