About the Job:
Seize an extraordinary opportunity as the Business Development Manager for our East
Coast Territory! Elevate your career in this Remote (USA) role, where your proven
expertise in displacement blowers and mechanical vacuum pumps will position you as the
key player in driving revenue growth and surpassing sales goals. Forge powerful
connections, uncover untapped markets, ignite opportunities, and champion the sale of
our Vacuum products through consultative and cooperative efforts with RSMs and Sales
Partners.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate lists of target customers by Market and specific Applications suitable for the
    Ingersoll Rand Vacuum Portfolio.
  • Engage proactively with target customers, aiming for at least 10 live interactions to secure
    in-person, technical meetings.
  • Collaborate with Internal (Regional Sales Managers) and External (Reps & Distributors)
    Sales teams, Consulting Engineers (EPCs), End-Users, and OEMs to assess the potential of
    the IR Vacuum Portfolio.
  • Research and present application-specific information, demonstrating the cost benefits
    of various products in the IR Vacuum Portfolio to potential customers.
  • Act as a technical liaison between Sales and Project Management/Engineering teams to
    provide technical support, clarification, and assist with proposal presentations to
    prospective customers.
  • Assist IR Regional Sales Managers in closing opportunities.
    Business Plans:
  • Develop business plans and sales targets for specific Vacuum Applications.
    Training:
  • Provide technical training to sales (RSMs & Channel Partners) and potential customers
    regarding applications, products, and solutions via in-person and virtual sessions (including
    webinars).
    Application Development:
  • Research all aspects of assigned vacuum applications to remain the foremost technical
    expert in our business.
  • Provide quarterly business updates on their prospective area(s) of focus.
    Forecasts/Budget:
  • Provide input to regional sales managers for company forecasts & budgets.
  • Contribute to achieving monthly and quarterly bookings and revenue targets.

    Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
  • Remote, US role, residing near a major USA airport.
  • Must be able to travel throughout the region.
  • US Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident.
    Key Competencies:
  • Rotating Equipment experience in Vacuum or similar industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering (mechanical,
    chemical, or environmental) required, or an Engineering Technology Associate’s Degree
    with demonstrated applications experience.
  • Experience required: 5+ years of applications/technical sales experience.
