About the Role:
📑 As a Category Buyer – Billable Services, you will manage procurement of third‑party professional and technology services used in SAP customer projects as part of the Global Procurement Organization.You will support the Category Manager and Vice President Service Procurement in executing global category strategies, driving sourcing initiatives, managing suppliers, and acting as a trusted procurement partner for line-of-business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• 🔍 Support development and execution of category strategy for Billable Services, including strategic sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
• 🤝 Act as procurement leader and trusted business partner for line-of-business stakeholders, driving demand management and supporting bid and delivery for large-scale customer service opportunities.
• 📊 Coordinate and execute key sourcing events, ensure high-quality service delivery, and contribute directly to revenue by enabling successful subcontracting of professional and technology services.
• 🌍 Work within virtual account teams for large service deals, representing procurement in regular interactions with service sales and delivery executives.

Requirements:

• 🎓 University degree, preferably in Business Administration or related field.
• 🧾 Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement and sourcing strategies, purchasing systems, and purchasing processes.
• 🌐 Ability to work effectively in international, virtual teams; fluent English (spoken and written).
• 🤝 Solid stakeholder and supplier management skills, with strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building capabilities.
• 🔄 Open-minded and willing to drive change, with a collaborative mindset and ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.

Work Experience:

• 📌 8+ years of progressive procurement experience within a multinational business.
• 🧩 Proven ability to crystallize business requirements and translate them into actionable procurement steps in fast‑paced, complex environments.
• 💼 Experience in professional services, application consulting, or development is a plus, along with a track record of successful contract negotiations and sourcing.
