About the Role:
As a Data Engineer at MakeMyTrip, you will architect, build, and maintain the data
pipelines and services that power personalized travel experiences for millions of users.
You will collaborate with Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver
scalable, performant data solutions—both batch and real‑time—to drive data‑driven
decision making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

→ ML Pipeline Development: Estimate, implement, and productionize
machine‑learning models and feature‑engineering workflows.
→ Data Integration: Build robust pipelines that ingest, transform, and integrate data
from multiple sources (e.g., click streams, bookings, user profiles).
→ Real‑Time & Batch Processing: Develop and maintain both streaming (Kafka,
Spark Streaming) and batch (Spark, Hadoop) data pipelines.
→ Scalable Architecture: Design scalable data services and microservices that
handle large volumes of data with low latency.
→ Performance Engineering: Optimize data models and system performance for
high throughput and minimal resource usage.
→ Infrastructure & Deployment: Deploy and manage data infrastructure on AWS
using Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools.

What You’ll Bring:

→ Distributed Systems: Hands‑on experience building distributed data processing
systems at production scale.
→ Big Data Expertise: Proven track record with Spark, Kafka, and large‑scale data
modeling.
→ Optimization Skills: Strong ability to tune data loading, transformation, and
retrieval for performance.
→ Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with AWS services (EMR, S3, Redshift),
containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
→ Collaboration: Ability to work cross‑functionally, translating business
requirements into robust data solutions.
