About the Role:

As a Data Engineer at Lenskart, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and
maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure that support our growing data needs. You
will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure the availability of clean, reliable,
and scalable data. Your responsibilities include integrating data from various sources,
optimizing databases, and troubleshooting data issues to drive insights and support
business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Integration: Develop and maintain data integration solutions to consolidate data
    from multiple sources (e.g., databases, APIs, flat files) into a unified format for analysis and
    reporting.
  • Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and databases
    to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data
    requirements and deliver reliable, clean datasets for analysis.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data
    pipelines to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Quality & Governance: Implement data quality checks, perform data profiling, and enforce
    data governance practices to maintain accuracy and consistency across datasets.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in data
    engineering, and recommend improvements to our data infrastructure.
  • Documentation: Document data engineering processes and workflows for knowledge
    sharing and future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience working as a data engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL,
    MySQL, or similar.
  • Experience with data pipeline tools such as Apache Airflow or similar.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Scala.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data services (e.g.,
    S3, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong communication and
    collaboration abilities.
