About the Role:
As the Director, Sales – MICE, Groups, Marine & Waterpark, you will be an integral part of
our revenue leadership team. Your primary responsibility is to lead the implementation and
management of strategic sales initiatives across multiple segments, including MICE,
Groups, and Marine & Waterpark sales. You will develop and execute comprehensive sales
and marketing plans, nurture relationships with key clients, and drive new business
through proactive lead generation and strategic negotiations. Working closely with senior
leadership and cross-functional teams, you will ensure our resorts consistently achieve and
exceed revenue targets while maintaining high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales & Marketing: Develop and implement annual sales and marketing
strategies and plans to drive revenue growth for designated segments. - Client Relationship Management: Identify and target potential clients and key accounts,
building and maintaining strong relationships through regular communication, meetings,
and site inspections. - Business Development: Proactively pursue leads, negotiate contracts, and tailor proposals
to meet client needs while ensuring profitability. - Market Analysis: Monitor competitors’ activities, assess market trends, and adjust
strategies accordingly. - Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and coach the sales teams to achieve targets and
maintain high performance. - Operational Coordination: Oversee the planning and logistics of group and event
bookings, ensuring seamless execution and high guest satisfaction. - Reporting: Produce detailed sales reports and account development plans, providing
regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Preferably with at least 5 years’ experience in a luxury hotel environment in a senior sales role.
- A relevant degree in Sales, Business Development, or a related field is required; advanced
degrees are a plus. - Proven track record in corporate and group sales, with experience managing high-profile
accounts and global markets. - Strong understanding of the hospitality industry, particularly in the Middle East and Dubai markets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet high-level targets and manage P&L budgets effectively.
- Proficient in analysing market trends and utilizing data to drive strategic decisions.
