Role Overview:

As a Drama Teacher at The British School, you will play a vital role in teaching drama
classes, supporting school productions, and contributing to the overall performing arts
activities. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and enriching learning
experience for students, adhering to health and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:

✓ Teach regular drama classes for KS-3 students as per the timetable.
✓ Support school productions and performing arts activities.
✓ Conduct specialist afternoon activities classes as required.
✓ Maintain stock register and oversee annual stock checks.
✓ Order equipment and consumables in coordination with the Curriculum Leader.
✓ Cover lessons in the absence of teachers and attend department meetings.
✓ Contribute to curriculum development and ensure student progress is
communicated effectively.
✓ Participate in school events and support audio-visual recordings for exams and
performances.
✓ Assist with music-related requirements and classroom management.
✓ Flexibility to support other school offices during emergencies or events

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Post-Graduate in Drama/Theatre.
  • Relevant teaching experience

  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Passion for teaching and ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
