About the Role:

Join Hero MotoCorp as an EHL and MHL Component Owner, where your expertise in
automotive electronic and mechanical component design will help shape the future of
mobility.
In this role, you will design, develop, and modify key hardware modules such as ignition
locks and electronic/mechanical (EM) components (including relays, solenoids, and
actuators) for our vehicles.
You will work closely with hardware architects, firmware teams, and integration/testing
units to meet vehicle project targets while ensuring compliance with automotive safety
and homologation requirements.
Additionally, you will be required to provide Statements of Requirements (SOR) and
Software Requirements Documents (SRD) and have a working knowledge of mobile
applications.

A Day in the Life:

Hardware Design & Development:
o Design and develop electronic and mechanical modules (logic boards,
analog boards, power boards) for VE system components such as
instrument clusters, BCMs, vehicle sensors, immobilisers, navigation
devices, and infotainment systems.
o Utilize development tools like Spice and Orcad, along with simulation tools
(Ansys, Altair) for thermal and vibration analysis.
Documentation & Specification:
o Prepare SOR and SRD for specific parts.
o Document design records, test reports, and data related to the
development process.
Collaboration:
o Interact continuously with HW architects, firmware, integration, and
testing teams to ensure design goals are met.
o Integrate knowledge of mobile app functionalities and TFT UI/UX where
applicable.
Process Optimization:
o Analyze failure modes and propose corrective actions.
o Support hardware development, including circuit design, PCB layout, BOM
control, and integration of mechanical and software aspects.
Optional Contribution:
o Experience in PCB Gerber development is a plus (not mandatory).

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

Hardware Design:
o Proficient in using design tools like Spice, Orcad, and simulation software
(Ansys, Altair, Opera, JMag).
System Level Understanding:
o Ability to finalize specifications based on system requirements and
determine test methodologies.
Standards & Compliance:
o In-depth understanding of automotive standards and functional safety
(e.g., ISO 26262, AEC Q100, EMI/ESD requirements).
Communication Protocols:
o Familiar with I2C, SPI, CAN, and LIN protocols.
→ Mobile & UI Integration:
o Basic knowledge of mobile applications and TFT UI/UX is desired.
