About the Role:

As an Experienced Optometrist at Lenskart, you will be responsible for delivering
comprehensive eye and vision care to patients of all ages. Your role will include conducting
detailed eye examinations, diagnosing eye conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses.
You will also provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
Your expertise will help ensure that patients receive accurate diagnoses and the best
possible care, all while supporting Lenskart’s mission to become India’s number one
eyewear provider

Key Responsibilities:

  • Eye Examinations: Conduct comprehensive eye tests to determine visual acuity and
    assess eye health.
  • Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnose and treat common eye conditions such as glaucoma,
    cataracts, and macular degeneration.
  • Prescription & Fitting: Prescribe corrective lenses and assist in fitting and adjusting
    eyeglasses and contact lenses.
  • Patient Care: Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
  • Education: Educate patients on proper eye care and the importance of regular check-ups.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and document all
    procedures and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Diploma, Degree, or Post Graduate qualification in Optometry or a related field.
  • Experience ranging from 0 to 12 years is acceptable, with more experience being an added advantage.
  • Corporate certification or equivalent skills in refractometry, ocular motility, and visual field testing are desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of eye anatomy, optics, and common eye diseases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Current state Optometry license is required.
