About the Role:
As an Experienced Optometrist at Lenskart, you will be at the forefront of delivering
exceptional eye care services in a retail setting. You will be responsible for conducting highquality eye tests, providing accurate diagnoses, and recommending the best solutions to
customers. Your role is crucial in converting prospective customers into satisfied clients by
ensuring they receive personalized and professional care. You will work closely with the
store team, help maintain a high standard of service, and contribute to the overall success
of the retail outlet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Satisfaction: Greet customers warmly and conduct thorough, competent eye
tests to assess visual acuity, focus, and coordination. - Quality Service: Ensure all customers receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate
recommendations based on their eye examination results. - Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers by explaining the eye exam
process and addressing any concerns. - Sales Support: Assist in converting prospective customers into actual customers through
effective communication and follow-up. - Inventory & Process Management: Understand the basics of the POS system to ensure
smooth transactions and maintain a well-organized store environment. - Security & Hygiene: Ensure the store and inventory are neat, clean, and compliant with
safety and hygiene standards; maintain proper grooming and presentation standards
among staff.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Diploma, Degree, or Post Graduate Degree in Optometry or a related field.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in the optical industry is preferred.
- Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for delivering superior customer service.
- Experience in managing or developing teams is a plus, though not mandatory.
