About the Role:
🕵️‍♂️ As a Financial Crime Investigator – Junior Analyst within the Regulatory, Risk & Forensic practice, you will support clients in managing complex financial crime risks such as money laundering, sanctions, and fraud.You will work with global teams to investigate transactions, review KYC/AML documentation, and contribute to the design and operation of robust AML and sanctions compliance programs for financial and non-financial institutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • 🔍 Support Regulatory, Risk & Forensic Operate engagements, helping clients manage strategic, reputational, financial, operational, and regulatory risks through ongoing run-the-business services.
  • 💼 Work with the AML team on transaction monitoring, lookbacks, and investigations, as well as KYC reviews (CDD/EDD), CTR reviews, sanctions screening/alert reviews, and fraud reviews.
  • 📊 Assist in designing, implementing, enhancing, and testing AML/sanctions programs, helping clients address regulatory expectations and remediate compliance lapses where needed.
  • 🤝 Collaborate with cross-functional teams of former regulators, law enforcement professionals, compliance experts, technologists, and industry specialists to deliver high-quality, defensible work products within agreed timelines.

Requirements:

  • 🎓 0–3 years of hands-on experience in the banking industry or financial services operations.
  • 🧠 Strong research and investigative skills; attention to detail with the ability to review and analyze complex entity documentation and annual reports.
  • 📚 Ability to understand key aspects of US and non-US AML regulations, policies, and procedures, and apply them in reviews and investigations.
  • 💻 Proficiency in MS Excel and comfort working with data; strong analytical thinking with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately.
  • 🗣 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and flexibility to work in rotational shifts on client projects.

Preferred Skills:

  • 🎓 Master’s degree.
  • 🐍 Knowledge of Python or other programming languages to support data-driven AML and financial crime analytics.
