About the Role:
📊 The Financial Data Scientist role sits at the intersection of finance and data science, supporting supply chain financial management through analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling.You will work on P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow analytics, SOX/internal controls, and AI/ML solutions to identify risks, optimize costs, and support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 💹 Analyze forecasts, budgets, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows; support month-end and quarter-end closing, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
  • 📈 Partner with Finance and Operations to provide insights on service supply chain costs, risks (e.g., E&O, inventory), and profitability and ensure SOX/compliance alignment.
  • 🤖 Use SQL, Python, or R to mine structured/unstructured data and build predictive and prescriptive models for risk and optimization opportunities.
  • 📊 Develop dashboards and automation (Power BI/Tableau or similar) to track KPIs, cost drivers, and financial controls.
  • 🤝 Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, and Compliance to turn business questions into analytical solutions and support audits through robust documentation and reporting.

Requirements:

  • 🧮 Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • 🧠 2–5 years’ experience in financial analysis, FP&A, internal audit, or data science roles.
  • 🛠️ Hands-on skills in SQL and Python or R; experience with AI/ML on Azure cloud is a plus.
  • 📊 Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • 🧾 Exposure to SOX/internal controls and ERP systems such as SAP preferred.
  • 💬 Strong analytical, statistical, and communication skills to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
