About the Role:
In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery
Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public
and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer clients locally based
skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and the adoption of new technology. As
an Infrastructure Specialist: Azure Platform, you will join our Associate Program for
university hires, working on critical projects that help shape the future of IT infrastructure.
Your primary focus will be on delivering and maintaining solutions on the Azure platform
while ensuring high reliability and performance for our clients’ applications and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Problem Resolution & Service Improvement: –
Identify business problems, understand customer issues, and implement
permanent solutions. –
Troubleshoot technical issues and design flaws to improve overall service
quality. - System & Infrastructure Management: –
Work with Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Load
Balancers, Application Gateways, VNETs, Route Tables, Azure Bastion,
Disaster Recovery, Backup, NSG, Azure Update Manager, and Key Vault. – –
Manage Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, Logic Apps, AKS (Azure
Kubernetes Service), and containerization tools like Docker.
Utilize additional Azure services including Event Hub, Redis Cache, Service
Mesh, ISTIO, App Insights, Databricks, Active Directory, DNS, Log Analytics
Workspace, and ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift). - Orchestration & Security: –
Work on container orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, or RedHat
OpenShift. –
Oversee security management, including firewall management (e.g.,
FortiGate). - Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: –
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., software developers, data
engineers) to integrate enterprise applications. –
Contribute to process improvements and work on automation to enhance
system self-healing capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Required Technical Expertise: –
Proven hands-on experience with Azure IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS services. – –
Strong proficiency in managing core Azure services such as VMs, Storage,
Load Balancers, VNETs, and security features.
Experience with Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, Logic Apps, and
containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Additional Skills: –
Familiarity with cloud orchestration, security management, and monitoring
tools is essential. – –
Experience with tools for automation, troubleshooting, and system
performance optimization.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. - Preferred: –
Experience with cloud native monitoring tools and server/storage
management is a plus.
