About the Role:
🔧 As an Interim Engineering Intern_2026_HW, you will join Qualcomm’s hardware teams working on cutting-edge SoC, ASIC, RF/analog/mixed-signal, and board/FPGA design, validation, and debug.You will contribute to physical design, verification, and test activities across domains such as SoC validation, low-power design, DFT, CPU design, RF/analog layout, and CAD solutions, depending on the sub-team allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- 💻 Contribute to SoC and digital ASIC design, verification, and validation, including RTL-level work and debug on complex multi-core, RISC/DSP-based systems.
- 📐 Support RF/analog/mixed-signal/power IC design or layout, low-power implementation, or board/FPGA design tasks, depending on project allocation.
- 🧪 Assist in SoC validation and debug, design-for-test (DFT) activities, CAD solution development, and CPU or subsystem design support.
- 🧩 Work with senior engineers to analyze design issues, run simulations, and help improve performance, power, and area across hardware blocks.
Requirements:
- 🎓 Educational background in Electrical Engineering, VLSI, Embedded & VLSI, or ECE at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- 🔬 Knowledge in at least some of the following: Verilog/VHDL, C/C++, Tcl/Perl/shell scripting, RTL design or strong object-oriented programming, and SoC/ASIC verification concepts.
- 📡 Exposure to wireless/wired communications, networking ASICs, or graphics/video/multimedia is a plus; understanding of RF/analog concepts like PLL, LNA, OpAmp, CMOS, ADC/DAC, and tools such as Cadence, SpectreRF, and layout is valuable for RF/analog roles.
- 🧠 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to collaborate in teams, and good verbal and written communication skills.
