About the Role:

As part of our Engineering team at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, you will be responsible for
the testing and validation of vehicle interiors, with a particular focus on seats and airbag
systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety and performance of our
vehicles’ interiors through rigorous testing procedures and detailed data analysis. You will
work closely with design teams and stakeholders to provide actionable insights and ensure
that all components meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

→ Testing and Validation:
o Conduct testing and validation of seats according to standard procedures.
o Perform airbag deployment tests (both side and passenger airbags) and
analyze any failures during deployment.
→ Test Environment Management:
o Develop and manage test environment setups to control key variables that
impact the performance of interior components.
→ Data Analysis:
o Conduct detailed post-test data analysis to evaluate the performance of
vehicle interiors.
→ Reporting:
o Coordinate the finalization of technical reports based on test results and
feedback from design teams, senior management, and other stakeholders.
→ Domain Expertise:
o Utilize your domain knowledge in automotive testing, with a preference for
experience in seat testing (e.g., seat belt anchorage, head impact, head
restraint performance tests, static airbag deployment testing).
→ Manufacturing Process Understanding:
o Apply your understanding of manufacturing processes to provide context
to test results and support process improvements.

Requirements:

→ Experience:
o 2 – 7 years of experience in automotive testing, preferably with a focus on
interior components such as seats and airbags.
→ Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge and experience in testing and validation of automotive
components.
o Proficiency in setting up and managing test environments.
o Ability to conduct detailed data analysis and prepare comprehensive
technical reports.
→ Domain Knowledge:
o Familiarity with automotive safety testing protocols, including seat belt
anchorage, head impact, head restraint performance, and airbag
deployment testing.
o Understanding of manufacturing processes related to automotive interiors.
→ Behavioural Skills:
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate
with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
