About the job:
As a Manager, Engineering, you’ll spearhead the development of our Ruby on Rails and
Elixir systems while shaping our e-commerce strategies, especially in pricing and online
retail. Your leadership will guide a team of engineers to implement innovative solutions,
elevating our customer experience and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
→ Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in designing and implementing
high-quality software solutions.
→ Direct engineering efforts in our e-commerce platform, emphasizing scalability,
user experience, and pricing strategies.
→ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective online
pricing models.
→ Oversee the development and maintenance of core systems built on Ruby on Rails
and Elixir, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
→ Mentor and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence
and innovation.
→ Cultivate continuous learning and improvement, encouraging team members to
explore new technologies and practices.
→ Work cross-functionally to align engineering activities with broader company
objectives.
What You Bring to The Role:
Minimum Requirements:
→ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
→ Extensive experience in Ruby on Rails or Elixir development and architecture.
→ Experience in developing and managing online pricing services and systems.
→ Proven track record in managing and scaling distributed, cloud-native systems and
services.
→ Hands-on experience collaborating with machine learning teams.
→ Strong understanding of relational database systems (MySQL or PostgreSQL
preferred).
→ Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of
engineers.
→ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Requirements:
→ Experience with Elixir or a willingness to learn and incorporate it into our tech stack.
→ Familiarity with NoSQL databases and their application in large-scale environments.
→ Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
→ Passion for sustainable fashion and technology’s role in this sector.
