This role, part of the GDS India Finance Team, reports to the AD – Finance.
Responsibilities include overseeing month-end close, accruals, audits, intercompany
reconciliations, consolidation, schedules, and reporting for entities in India, US, and UK.
The Manager collaborates with Finance and Accounting teams (India and Overseas)
to ensure accurate and timely information for month-end close, driving the monthend closure by interacting with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan month-end/Year-End close
  • Drive quality month-end process with agreed timelines
  • Review Monthly Financials and ensure reporting within due timelines
  • Interact with other Finance stakeholders for smooth closings and reporting
  • Engage sub-functions of finance collaboratively for maintaining current and clean
    accounts
  • Plan year-end close, liaise, agree Board meeting dates, audit sign-off dates, and
    provide a detailed checklist to finance/other teams
  • Consolidation under Statutory/IFRS
  • Handle Statutory/IFRS Audits of entities
  • Ensure timely compliances with various statutes
  • Identify areas for process improvements/automations and implementation
  • Timely reconciliation of intercompany balances and sign-offs

Required Skills:

  • Strong General ledger accounting skills
  • Practical knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP
  • Experience in consolidations under Statutory/IFRS
  • Quick understanding of Accounting and MIS Systems
  • Very good Excel Skills
  • Reasonable PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Positive attitude and dependable team player
  • Strong attention to details and a sense of ownership
  • Ability to prioritize workload for objectives
  • Strong written, verbal, and persuasive skills

Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant with 7-9 years of post-qualification experience in services or
    manufacturing industry
