About the Role:
As a Nursing Officer at Apollo Hospitals in Bangalore, you will deliver comprehensive
nursing care, assess patient health, implement care plans, and collaborate closely with
multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes within a state‑of‑the‑art
healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
→ Recording Medical History & Symptoms: Document comprehensive patient
histories and present symptoms.
→ Administering Medication & Treatment: Deliver medications, injections, and
therapies as prescribed, and monitor patient responses.
→ Collaborating for Patient Care: Work collaboratively with doctors, specialists,
and support staff to coordinate treatment plans.
→ Performing Point‑of‑Care Tests: Conduct bedside diagnostics such as blood
glucose monitoring and ECGs.
→ Conducting Nursing Assessments: Evaluate patient status, update care plans,
and identify changes requiring physician intervention.
→ Monitoring Patient Health: Track vital signs, fluid balance, and recovery progress,
reporting any concerns promptly.
→ Patient Support & Education: Offer bedside care, educate patients and families
on procedures and aftercare, and provide emotional support.
→ Maintaining Inventory: Ensure nursing supplies and equipment are stocked,
maintained, and sterile.
→ Operating Medical Equipment: Safely handle and care for devices like infusion
pumps, monitors, and ventilators.
→ Continuous Learning: Attend regular in‑service education sessions to stay
current with best practices and clinical guidelines.
Requirements and Skills:
→ Graduate in GNM Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, or M.Sc. Nursing with first‑division
marks in 10th and 12th.
→ 3 months to 5 years of hands‑on nursing experience in a clinical setting.
→ Strong interpersonal, communication, and team‑building abilities.
→ Excellent observational and perceptual skills to identify subtle changes in patient
condition.
→ Demonstrated initiative and the ability to provide moral and physical support to
patients.
→ Computer literacy for electronic health records and inventory management.
→ Flexibility to work rotating shifts and manage on‑call duties under pressure.
