Position Overview:

The Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor will play a pivotal role in
teaching, conducting research, and contributing to service within the Political Science
department. This position involves delivering educational content, engaging in relevant
research activities, and providing service to the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

  • Instruct students in various areas of Political Science at different academic levels.
  • Develop and update course materials and curriculum as needed.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ assignments and performance effectively.
    Research:
  • Conduct research in Political Science, with the aim of publishing in reputable journals.
  • Seek external funding opportunities to support research endeavours.
    Mentorship:
  • Offer academic and career mentorship to students, guiding them in their educational
    journey.
  • Supervise and oversee student projects and research initiatives.
    Service:
  • Participate actively in departmental and university service, including committee
    involvement.
  • Foster engagement with the community and industry stakeholders to promote
    collaborative initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in both research and teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of publications in academic journals.
  • Experience in securing research funding.
  • Relevant industry experience in Political Science.
