About the Role:
As a Scientist in the Institute of Medical Genetics & Genomics at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital,
you will apply your expertise in HLA typing and NGS to support diagnostics and research
into genetic disorders. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and
researchers, ensuring high-quality laboratory outputs and contributing to translational
research projects.

Key Responsibilities:
→ HLA Typing: Perform high-resolution HLA genotyping using molecular methods
and NGS platforms.
→ NGS Workflow: Prepare libraries, run sequencers, and analyze NGS data for
inherited disease panels and genomic studies.
→ Quality Control: Implement and maintain QC protocols, troubleshoot assay
performance, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
→ Data Analysis: Utilize bioinformatics pipelines to interpret genomic variants,
generate reports, and communicate findings to clinicians.
→ Research Collaboration: Contribute to research protocols, co-author
publications, and present data at departmental meetings.
→ Lab Management: Supervise daily laboratory operations, train junior staff, and
maintain equipment and reagent inventories.

Qualifications & Experience:
→ Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Genetics, or related field.
→ 1–2 years of postdoctoral or industry experience with hands-on HLA typing and
NGS.
→ Proficiency with molecular biology techniques, NGS library prep, and
bioinformatics tools.
→ Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with clinical lab
documentation.
→ Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative
environment.
