About the Role:

With over 100 million views, HoopFlix is one of the most watched storytelling NBA
channels on YouTube. We’re looking for writers who have direct experience in our field—
crafting storytelling videos based on clip selection and creative writing, integrated with
graphics and edits. HoopFlix is part of the Flix Media brand, which means that by

Key Responsibilities:

→ Scriptwriting:
o Develop engaging and compelling scripts that bring NBA storytelling to life,
incorporating relevant clips, creative narratives, and direction for graphics
and edits.
→ Content Development:
o Help improve upload frequency with high-quality writing that is easy to
amend and aligns with our established style.
→ Collaboration:
o Work closely with editors and producers to ensure the final script matches
the intended vision and tone.
→ Feedback Incorporation:
o Accept and apply feedback and constructive criticism to continuously
refine the script quality.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of storytelling, with a knack for deriving creative
    narratives from small bits of information.
  • Experience sourcing necessary clips for edits and baselining scripts on
    existing footage.
  • Ability to develop story ideas across multiple content pieces.
  • Proven capability to work quickly and efficiently while meeting tight
    deadlines.
  • Excellent ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail when scripting videos.
  • A genuine passion for making YouTube content and a relentless drive to
    improve your craft.
