Job Description:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join
the Cloud Economics and Global Digital Services Platform (GDSP) team in India. This role
offers the exciting opportunity to help AWS’s largest multinational customers optimize
their cloud transformation and cloud adoption journey. You will play a key role in driving
customer success by collaborating with customer IT, Finance, and Business executives to
drive cloud cost optimization, operational efficiency, and IT transformation within large
organizations.
This role is ideal for a self-starter, passionate about technology, and customer-focused.
You will be responsible for guiding customers through the intricacies of AWS’s cloud
offerings, optimizing their cloud consumption, and implementing FinOps best practices
for long-term success. With your ability to manage large datasets and complex cloudrelated challenges, you’ll be instrumental in optimizing customer workflows, improving
their IT strategies, and driving business value.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers (IT, Finance, Business Executives) to drive cloud cost
    management discussions and initiatives.
  • Educate AWS customers on FinOps best practices, enabling them to self-manage
    and scale their cloud operations effectively.
  • Work closely with customers to assess their reporting and analytics needs,
    providing solutions to track, manage, and optimize their AWS usage.
  • Develop and communicate KPIs and success metrics to track the progress of
    customer transformations and optimization.
  • Evangelize cost optimization strategies, cloud best practices, and cloud adoption
    trends with customers and partners.
  • Manage multiple requests concurrently, prioritize strategically, and ensure highquality delivery.
  • Drive proactive engagement through relationships and mechanisms to optimize
    cloud cost management.
  • Build relationships across various teams at AWS to enable and extend customer
    coverage and support.
  • Assist the APJ leadership team in executing the transformation strategy for Cloud
    Financial Management (CFM) in India.
    Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, MBA, or similar
    graduate degree.
  • Proven business development experience in IT transformation consulting or
    management consulting, focusing on business process design.
  • Strong experience working with senior IT executives and multi-disciplinary
    teams.
  • Hands-on experience in financial data analysis and business process optimization.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills,
    especially in customer-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive customer success and influence change in cloud
    adoption strategies.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or equivalent business experience.
  • Experience working in a high-growth technology company or cloud computing
    environment.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud Financial Management (FinOps), AWS services, and
    IT infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and act on complex data to drive business outcomes.
  • Customer-first mentality, with a proven ability to influence senior leadership and
    deliver impactful results.
