About the Role:

The Senior Manager – BIW Maintenance is responsible for managing the maintenance of
weld shop equipment to ensure optimum uptime of machines and equipment, in
alignment with company guidelines and procedures. You will oversee production planning
for maintenance, coordinate efforts to minimize downtime, and ensure a smooth
operation of the BIW (Body In White) processes. This role is crucial for maintaining
operational efficiency and achieving business targets, and it demands a strong technical
background and effective leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Management: Oversee and manage the maintenance of weld shop
    equipment, ensuring that all machinery and systems operate at optimal efficiency.
  • Production Planning: Prepare and execute maintenance schedules in line with the
    operations plan, ensuring minimal disruption and zero-line stoppages.
  • Data Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track
    maintenance effectiveness, inventory levels, and production uptime.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with procurement, scheduling, and logistics teams
    to ensure the timely availability of necessary aggregates and parts.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to maintenance procedures, health and
    safety guidelines, and quality standards to safeguard assets and ensure smooth
    operations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps in existing maintenance processes and implement
    improvements to drive efficiency and reduce operational risks.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor your team, ensuring continuous skill development
    and high performance in maintenance operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience, with significant exposure to maintenance in a
    manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Proven experience in production planning and facilities maintenance, specifically in the
    context of BIW operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and optimize
    complex processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of working with multiple
    stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with risk management, operational excellence, and quality assurance practices
    is essential.
