About the Role:
As a Senior Registrar in Radiology, you will be responsible for interpreting diagnostic
imaging studies such as X‑rays, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasounds to assist in patient
diagnosis and treatment planning. You will also perform image‑guided interventional
procedures under supervision and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to
discuss cases and determine optimal treatment strategies. In addition, you will mentor
junior residents and medical students, ensuring adherence to departmental protocols
and maintaining high standards of quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
→ Diagnostic Imaging Interpretation: Review and interpret X‑rays, CT scans, MRI,
and ultrasound images to provide accurate diagnostic reports.
→ Interventional Procedures: Assist and perform image‑guided biopsies,
drainages, and other interventional radiology procedures under appropriate
supervision.
→ Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in tumor boards, clinical meetings,
and case discussions to contribute imaging insights for comprehensive patient
care.
→ Teaching & Mentorship: Provide clinical teaching, supervision, and feedback to
junior residents and medical students, fostering a supportive learning
environment.
→ Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols, conduct
regular equipment quality checks, and uphold departmental quality standards.
Requirements:
→ Qualifications: MD or DNB in Radiodiagnosis from a recognized institution.
→ Experience: Minimum of 1 year of postgraduate radiology residency or registrar
experience.
→ Technical Skills: Proficiency in PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) for
efficient image management and reporting.
→ Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability
to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
→ Licensure: Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) to
practice radiology in India.
