About the job:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer with expertise in cloud
networking, containerized microservices, and code-defined networking. You have a
background in the design, implementation, and management of intricate network
infrastructures within cloud settings.
You will need a profound grasp of contemporary networking concepts, practical
experience with container orchestration platforms, and adeptness in network automation
and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will report to the Director of Engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
✓ Design, deploy, and manage cloud network architectures using AWS and/or Google
Cloud Platform.
✓ Develop and maintain scalable network solutions for containerized applications
using Kubernetes, Docker, and other orchestration tools.
✓ Pair with partners to develop the network infrastructure for business integration.
✓ Implement and manage code-defined networks using tools such as Terraform,
using CICD pipelines to orchestrate IaC deployments.
✓ Collaborate with security and software engineering teams to ensure seamless
integration of network services with application deployments and edge strategy.
✓ Optimize network performance, reliability, and security across multi-cloud and
hybrid environments.
✓ Monitor network health and troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure high
availability and performance.
✓ Automate network tasks and configurations to enhance efficiency and reduce
manual interventions.
✓ Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in
cloud networking and container orchestration.
You Should Have:
✓ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A Master’s degree is preferred.
✓ 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on
cloud networking and containerized environments.
✓ Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including VPC, Subnets,
Security Groups, VPN, and Direct Connect.
✓ Proficiency in Kubernetes and Istio.
✓ Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and their implementation in cloud
environments.
✓ Experience with network protocols, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and DNS.
✓ Experience with network monitoring and performance tools like Prometheus,
Grafana, or similar.
✓ Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
✓ Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Google Cloud
Professional Network Engineer, or Cisco CCNP/CCIE.
