About the Role:
🛠 As a Software Developer 1 in the SDaaS Services team, you work as a DevOps Engineer in a cloud-based environment, enhancing and maintaining services that support CFS workflows and GIU SaaS/application deployments.You will help migrate GIU development teams to GitLab-based SCM, runner farms, and CI/CD services while scaling and improving automation in a complex distributed system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ⚙️ Build automation, integrations, and continuously delivered software; enhance CI/CD with new automation and cross-tool integrations.
  • 🧩 Implement modern configuration management practices and manage workflows for multiple projects and partners.
  • ☁ Develop and enhance automation across DevOps tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Podman, scanning/monitoring tools) and implement DR/HA for SDaaS services.
  • 🐞 Troubleshoot complex application, workflow, and tools issues; build enhancements within existing cloud-based software architectures.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • 🐧 Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX, Python, Shell scripting, and JavaScript.
  • 🔗 DevOps toolchain experience: Git, Jenkins, code/artifact scanning tools, monitoring, Artifactory, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • ☸ Familiarity with Kubernetes, Podman, GitLab SCM, and cloud-native software development design principles.

Ways of Working:

  • 🔁 Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile/Lean (Scrum, Kanban) for product development and DevOps workflows.
  • 🤝 Ability to work in a collaborative, agile, distributed team, acting as a distributed-systems generalist in a complex environment.
