About the Role:
🧪 As a Software Developer Tester – Golang (SDET) in the BEWS packet core domain, you will focus on building and enhancing automated test frameworks for private 5G packet core and management plane features.You will collaborate with global stakeholders to design test plans, develop automation for complex network functions, debug production issues, and ensure high‑quality, resilient software releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 🧱 Design and develop test frameworks and automated test suites for complex software features in the private 5G packet core and management plane.
  • 📋 Participate in requirements discussions, translate functional and non-functional requirements into detailed test plans and scenarios.
  • 🔍 Peer review test cases and test plans, build automation tests, and ensure high-quality, reliable deliverables across releases.
  • 🐞 Debug and isolate issues (including production problems), provide rapid root‑cause analysis, and contribute to quick resolutions.
  • 🧩 Break down complex test and automation tasks into manageable components and deliver them incrementally.

Requirements:

  • 🐍 Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python for automation and tooling.
  • ☁ Strong hands-on experience with cloud and container technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, and private/public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • 🧰 Experience with Ansible, shell scripting, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Sonar, and Helm.
  • 🌐 Good understanding of RESTful services, distributed systems behaviour, and modern DevOps/testing practices, with strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • 📡 Experience in LTE/5G Core or telecom core network domains.
  • 🔐 Experience in security domains such as IPsec and familiarity with VPP data plane.
  • 💻 Knowledge of programming languages like C++, Java, or Go (Golang) for building or extending test frameworks and tools.
