About the Role:
As a Software Development Engineer I, you’ll be part of a dynamic team imagining, designing, and delivering technologies for millions of Amazon customers and sellers.
You’ll collaborate with experienced developers, work on distributed systems, and solve real business challenges—all while growing your technical skills quickly in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
📌 Collaborate across teams to design and deliver innovative software products
📌 Build and optimize large, distributed computing solutions
📌 Solve complex engineering challenges, develop scalable storage and analytics systems
📌 Write high-quality code (C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl) with a focus on robust, maintainable solutions
📌 Work in agile teams to run, test, and ship new product features rapidly
📌 Communicate technical challenges and solutions clearly within the team
📌 Own projects end-to-end, thinking from architecture to impact
Requirements:
🎯 Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
🎯 Knowledge of core CS concepts: OOD, algorithms, data structures, problem solving
🎯 Comfort with at least one major programming language (C/C++, Python, Java, Perl)
🎯 Analytical, abstract thinking, and ability to handle ambiguity
🎯 Internship experience, database/distributed system knowledge is a bonus
🎯 Strong communication skills and team spirit
