About the Role:

As a Software Engineer III on Google Cloud, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and
maintain scalable software solutions that power Google’s next-generation cloud
services. You will tackle complex challenges across distributed systems, networking,
storage, security, and machine learning, collaborating with cross-functional teams to
drive innovation and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

o Code Development & Testing: Write, test, and debug high-quality code for core
product features and services.
o Design Reviews: Lead and participate in architecture and design reviews,
evaluating technology choices to meet project requirements.
o Code Reviews & Best Practices: Review peers’ code to ensure adherence to
Google’s standards for accuracy, efficiency, and testability.
o Documentation & Education: Contribute to technical documentation and
internal training materials, keeping content up to date with product changes.
o Issue Triage & Resolution: Diagnose, triage, and resolve production issues by
analysing logs, monitoring data, and metrics to maintain service health.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical
experience.
o 2+ years of professional software development experience in one or more
programming languages.
o 2+ years of experience in data structures and algorithms.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
o Experience developing accessible technologies and inclusive user
experiences.
o Proven ability to work on full-stack solutions, from low-level systems code
to high-level APIs.
o Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across global,
distributed teams.
