Role Overview:

As a Software Engineering Release Manager in the LMTS organization at Salesforce, you
will own the end‑to‑end release process for mission‑critical services. You’ll partner with
Product, Engineering, and Program Management teams to plan, coordinate, and execute
major product releases, weekly patches, and daily changes in our global SaaS
environment—ensuring high availability, compliance, and exceptional customer
experience.

Key Responsibilities:

→ Release Planning & Execution: Define and lead release schedules for major,
minor, and patch deployments using agile methodologies.
→ Service Ownership: Embed reliability, scalability, and security into the release
pipeline—championing DevOps best practices.
→ Cross‑Functional Coordination: Collaborate with PMs, DevOps, QA, and
Support to align on release content, timing, and risk mitigation.
→ Metrics & Reporting: Track release health, deployment KPIs, and post‑release
incident trends—presenting insights to leadership.
→ Process Improvement: Continuously refine CI/CD workflows, tooling, and
documentation to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.

Minimum Requirements:

→ 7+ years in technical program or engineering management at an enterprise
technology company.
→ Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams through complex SaaS release
lifecycles.
→ Deep understanding of SaaS business models, product development lifecycles,
and agile frameworks.
→ Hands‑on knowledge of software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and
DevOps tooling.
→ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills—able to build
consensus in a matrixed environment.
→ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

→ Experience with Salesforce Platform products and public cloud infrastructures
(AWS, GCP, Azure).
→ Familiarity with compliance and security standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
→ Expertise in Service Ownership and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
→ Exposure to data analytics and reporting tools for release metrics.
→ Demonstrated ability to pivot between tactical execution and strategic roadmap
planning.
